Eat only if you're hungry. Listen to your body because - unless you're dehydrated - it will tell you if you're hungry or not. Avoid eating, if you're not hungry. Make sure you don't have an eating disorder. You may have an eating disorder, if you use food for pleasure, or if food provides instant relief against painful feelings.

Ensure you don't binge and purge. Do you binge and purge at least once a week? Binging and purging is not unusual at all. Bulimia (i. e. binging and purging) was widely practiced by the ancient Greeks and Romans. However, bulimia is not good for you at all! Watch out for the following symptoms of bulimia: hypokalemia, rotten teeth, digestive disorders, amenorrhea, malnourishment, anemia, blisters in the throat, internal bleeding, hypoglycemia, ruptured stomach or esophagus, social isolation, fear of discovery, loneliness, low self-esteem, feeling of guilt, and self-disgust.

Are you cold?

Ensure that you're not feeling cold. Feeling cold all the time and having a low blood pressure aren't necessarily the symptoms of starvation, because they can indicate other conditions, such as sleep deficit, hypothyroidism, subclinical hypothyroidism, or poor digestion.

Are you in starvation mode?

Ensure that you're not in starvation mode. FYI, the human body will go into starvation mode, if there is a famine (i. e. when there is no food), or if you're fasting (and you're depriving yourself of food). Short and well-planned fasts (of 1 to 14 days) can significantly improve your health, because your body will use the opportunity to heal itself of any injuries and break down fats and proteins for fuel. However, both long-term food deprivation, and binging and purging can (and will likely) harm you!

Ensure that you're not starving yourself. There are many who are perfect on the outside, but self-loathing on the inside.
